Holly was stolen today.
It was early in the morning. Some catgoblins took her away. I was lucky to wake up to the sound of them. We were able to track them down and get her back, but we had to fight them before they would give us back my things as well.
I was so scared that I had lost her for good... And if the others hadn't been there, she might have been. I ran after them in a rage, but if I had been by myself, there is no way I could have defeated them all on my own.
I know most of them probably helped only because she carries our water supply, but I'm still glad for their aid. I don't know what I would have done otherwise.
Jayde asked me about how I met her, and thinking back on it, the merchant who sold her to me must have been pleased that he could ask for the full amount even though he was desperate to get rid of her. But all the same, I'm happy to have her with me. She may have her... troublesome moments, but she is a dependable creature, and I can only hope I will be able to travel with her for a long time to come.
